The genotyping process is gaining ground in the Tarine breed every year. In the Eleveurs des Savoie area, during the 2023-2024 campaign, 1,391 females were genotyped, an increase of 6%<\/strong> on the previous year and over 66% on the 2019-2020 campaign<\/strong>. At the same time, AURIVA and its partners, in particular EDS, have invested to improve service quality by reducing the average turnaround time for results to 27 days, compared with 39 days in 2021-2022. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

“In the current campaign, 1,244 females have already been genotyped. We are seeing steady progress in the Tarine breed, thanks to breeders’ growing awareness of the positive impact of the technique on herd management and long-term profitability. What’s more, at EDS we’ve dedicated more human resources to genotyping, and invested in new IT tools to improve the speed of results (27 days for the average turnaround time for results today, compared with 39 days 3 years ago).
