30 January 2024JOLLY, daughter of VORTEX born on 08/07/2014 at GAEC L’ESPRIT DES MONTAGNES in MANIGOD (74)
Spotted in 2018 thanks to genotyping, Yves DUNAND (the Abondance technician at the time), qualified JOLLY as a bull dam (MAT). She will remain so for 4 years, leaving behind her the REGGAE bull (son of NOSTRESS) born in October 2020 and released in 2022 as a young sire in the AURIVA catalog.
Still indexed today at 146 UIS points and over 730 kg of milk, she has been qualified as a TE dam to female under the Abondance selection scheme.
She’s still No. 1 among VORTEX girls!
In January 2023, she was collected a1st time with the bull RICOCHET where she gave 26 embryos, 14 of which could be frozen and 7 rested fresh the same day (i.e. 21 good embryos out of the 26): a very good first collection!
At the end of January, it was sold to the GAEC LES DELICES SAVOYARDS in Cons Ste Colombe (74) for re-collection. Between March 2023 and December, it will be collected 3 times, each time yielding a large number of embryos:
- March, collection with LAMOUREUX: 13 embryos collected, 6 frozen and 6 rested fresh (i.e. 12 good embryos out of 13) at success rate = 92%.
- July, collection with ST ROCK: 21 embryos collected, 3 rested fresh (i.e. 3 good embryos out of 21) at success rate = 14%.
- December, collection with SYRIUS: 33 embryos collected, 14 frozen and 7 rested fresh (i.e. 21 good embryos out of 33) at success rate = 63%.
If we add up the number of embryos collected and available for use, JOLLY achieves an excellent score of....
She represents THE typical profile of cows sought for the AURIVA embryo bank, which is why all her collections were covered by the AURIVA Bank contracts.
